ARMAMENT
Fixed wing UAV (close range) equipped with optical electronic pay load and electric engine. The operational range of UAV - up to 40 km.
ELEMENT 1
"PREPARATION OF UAV SYSTEM FOR FLIGHT"

CONDITIONS
UAV System in travel configuration is located on the ground 50 meters away from deployment and launch site. UAV Crew awaits 5 meters away from the UAV System.

PROCEDURE
At the signal of the Chief Judge crew brings UAV to the deployment and launch site, deploys ground control station (hereinafter referred to as GCS) and prepares UAV for take-off. When crew is ready it launches UAV. Timing starts after the judge's command prior to take-off.
ELEMENT 2
"EN-ROUTE FLIGHT USING VIDEO CAMERA"

CONDITIONS
The UAV system is deployed and UAV is in the air. Flight route to a distance of up to 25 km from GCS. Number of check-points: 4.

PROCEDURE
At the command of the Chief Referee UAV the crew receives the map with depicted route and flies en route along checkpoints using UAV video camera. When flying over check-point, operator makes a snapshot and continues the flight, then returns to the landing pad and lands the UAV. The timing is conducted from the moment of receiving the map till the landing of UAV.
ELEMENT 3
"LANDING OF UAV, BRINGING THE SYSTEM TO TRAVEL MODE"

CONDITIONS
GCS is deployed 100 m away from landing pad, the UAV is airborne 1 km away from landing pad.

PROCEDURE
Upon command of the Chief Judge the UAV crew conducts UAV landing procedures and lands the aircraft in the designated area within a 30 m radius. After landing the UAV crew dissembles the UAV and the ground control station, places details in shipping container (cases, backpacks) and carries UAV system at a distance of 50 meters. The timing is conducted from the moment of the referee's command till conclusion of transporting the system.
ELEMENT 4
"ESCORT THE CONVOY ON THE MARCH"

CONDITIONS
UAV system is deployed and prepared. Flight area is in 25 km radius from GCS. The length of the route is 10 km, average speed 30 km/h.

IMPLEMENTATION
The UAV system is deployed and ready for operation. At the command of the Chief Judge the UAV takes off and the convoy starts moving. The UAV crew is to conduct terrain reconnaissance at a distance of up to 2 km and report to the convoy senior officer. If it is necessary to stop moving and relief the UAV the crew has to report to the convoy senior officer. The timing is conducted from the departure of the convoy and till the end of the march.
ELEMENT 1
DETECT AND REPORT

CONDITIONS
The exercise is executed at night. The UAV system is located 50 m from the launch site in travel mode. Aerial reconnaissance area is located within 25 km from the launch site.

PROCEDURE

At the signal of the Chief Judge the UAV crew receives coordinates of the air reconnaissance area, carries the UAV system to the launch site, deploys GCS and prepares the UAV for take-off. When ready the UAV takes off and starts searching for the targets. When the operator detects the target he has to pin it on the screen. Then he reports its coordinates and specifications to the referee and continues the search. The timing is conducted from the moment, when the team receives the diagram with the coordinates of the area till the landing of the UAV.
ELEMENT 2
"SEARCH AND DESTROY"

CONDITIONS
The UAV is located in the search area, the mortar crew in a closed fire position. Conventional objects will represent targets.


PROCEDURE

At the signal of the Chief Judge the UAV crew directs the UAV to the designated objects. Having detected the target the UAV crew reports its coordinates to the mortar crew through the judge. After every shot the operator has to record and report coordinates of the explosion. The timing starts from the moment when the UAV takes off and ends when the third explosion is detected and reported.
CONDITIONS
There will be three reconnaissance areas 6-10 km2 within 20-40 km from launch site. There will be one target in each area. The UAV system is in travel mode located 50 meters from deployment and launch site.

PROCEDURE
At the signal of the Chief Judge the UAV crews carry their UAVs to the deployment and launch site, deploy the systems, prepare UAV for flight and launch UAVs when ready. After that the crews guide their UAVs to the designated area and start the searching. Having detected the target the operator takes at least three pictures of it from three different sides, determines its coordinates, directs the UAV to the landing site and then lands it. Then the crew has to send the second aircraft to the next reconnaissance area and continues the search. Having detected the target in the second reconnaissance area the crew pins it and sends the UAV to the landing site for landing. After that the crew sends the third aircraft to the third reconnaissance area and conducts the same procedures. Another UAV has to take off only after the previous has landed.
RESULTS
The winner and prize-winners of the Competition are determined by the Judging Committee depending on the time of the exercises accomplished. When assessing the Competition and the stages, the place are determined by summing the places of all exercises. In the case of equal number of points upon the results of the exercises, the teams are distributed according to the minimum amount of time spent for performing all the exercises.
AWARDING
Awarding of the winners and prize-winners of the Contest is carried out in the following nominations: "The best crew of UAV" (it is determined by the least amount of places occupied by the crew of UAV systems), "The best team" (determined by the results of the relay race). Additionally, the participants are evaluated and awarded in the nominations "Best operator of command and control (pilot)", "Best technical specialist".
